Indian Institute of Alternative Medicine (www. altmedworld. Net) in association with the Indian Council of Alternative Medicine (an internationally recognized legal status largest institution), duly incorporated under the 1961 Act, XXVI of the Government of West Bengal on the basis of Central Government Act XXI of 1860, literary and scientific institutions Act of 1854 provides a series of distance learning programs in alternative medicine, naturopathy, reiki, acupuncture and Oriental medicine, holistic nutrition, acupuncture, reflexology and color therapy.

international seminars, conferences and awards are held regularly. In addition to the many supporters from the field of alternative medicine, the Conference Board were aware of international personalities and dignitaries from around the world who have been closer in their praise and support these events. Prominent among those who have expressed their support for the WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, Commonwealth Secretariat, the President and Vice-President of India, government ministers and internationally renowned personalities in the world, as Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Queen Elizabeth, the Reverend Desmond Tutu and United Nations Secretaries-General. The importance of these opportunities are largely reflected by the participation of Mother Teresa, state governors and ministers of the union in the state chief judges, judges and diplomats.
A monthly magazine reported in INR (Indian Government) is also published to disseminate knowledge and information about alternative medicine.
