Go to PubMed. There are countless articles on herbs, supplements, hydrotherapy, acupuncture, aromatherapy and just about every other facet of alternative medicine that has been scientifically tested. There are tons of studies on effective herbs, supplements, and everything else that you can think of.
You do have to know what you are looking for, so think about what you want to research because there are literally tens of thousands of studies, metastudies, articles, and more involving alternative medicine.

I did a simple search on Pub Med using the search string “herbal medicine” alone. (Not even a specific herb, extract or compound, nor any other modality!) This simple search string yields 13,240 results.
These studies are published in journals such as:
    Int Arch Allergy Immunol.
    J Obstet Gynaecol Res.
    J Ethnobiol Ethnomed.
    Neuroscience.
    Int J Gynaecol Obstet.
    J Gastroenterol Hepatol.
    Pediatr Surg Int.
    Clin Cancer Res.
    J Ocul Biol Dis Infor
    Prog Neuropsychopharmacol Biol Psychiatry.
    Clin Exp Immunol
… You know, these are just a few of the journals which you “skeptics” say must ‘de facto’ be ridiculous and shammy pseudoscience mags. (Snort!) And you would purport that all 13 THOUSAND (+) are just poorly designed drivel… that major mainstream peer-reviewed scientific journals chose to print? Seriously? Tsk.
    Gentlemen… For shame!!!

While there are many journal articles, most are in specific and obscure journals that lack credibility.
They use methods that are not reproducible (so no one can check their results) or are very poorly carried out, with small groups or other confounding factors that mean they would not be accepted for publication in a medical journal.
There are literally dozens of medical journals, you really need to find an article that is in a well known journal such as the British Medical Journal, The Lancet, American Heart Journal etc.
Things like “The Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine” that specifically excludes conventional medicine is the sort of thing you are looking to avoid.

Short answer ‘No’. If it is accurate and credible it isn’t alternative medicine.
